Two Northwest Christian College Students Spent Five Weeks in Israel on an Archaeological Excavation

Two Northwest Christian College students spent June 7 to July 12 in Israel as part of a class in Old Testament Archaeology. Senior Ben Dieter and freshman Jennifer Cox participated in a three week session of archaeological excavation at Tel Megiddo. The students left Israel one day prior to the war between Israel and Hezbollah.

Tel Megiddo is an archaeological site located in Israel’s Jezreel Valley. The site is currently directed by Tel Aviv University and George Washington University in Washington D.C. Megiddo is thought to be the location of the final battle between good and evil in the book of Revelation.

The Northwest Christian College students also spent an additional two weeks touring the country of Israel, visiting the cities of Jerusalem, Haifa, Nazareth, and several other sites.
