NORTHWEST CHRISTIAN COLLEGE CELEBRATES ITS 112TH BIRTHDAY
EUGENE, Ore. –October 18, 2006-Northwest Christian College-
On Friday, October 27, 2006, Northwest Christian College (NCC) celebrates Founder’s Day in recognition of the college’s 112th birthday. The college, founded on October 15, 1895, by Eugene Sanderson, will recognize this special event with a chapel service featuring keynote speaker Dr. Jerry Rushford, director of church relations and associate professor of religion at Pepperdine University.
Having recently visited NCC for the 2006 Stone-Campbell Symposium, Dr. Rushford will bring life to the historical roots of Northwest Christian College within the context of “The Habitual Vision of Greatness”.
The Founder’s Day chapel service will also include a special unveiling of a new campus monument, created by NCC alumnus Gene Swanson.
Founder’s Day is part of a weekend long Homecoming celebration that includes the annual alumni/varsity basketball game and a faculty symposium on the impact of our nation’s Civil War.
