How did you arrive at Northwest Christian?

I visited the campus during an Open Friday with my mom and was drawn to it because of the close-knit Christian community that I could envision myself being a part of.

 

Favorite Class?

Spanish with Lauri DeGonzales.

 

Research/Special Projects:

I really enjoyed my internship at Hosea Youth Services.

 

Favorite Northwest Christian Event/Tradition:

Spiritual Development Week.

 

Advice for incoming students:

Don’t get in a rush and miss the things that are really important in life and in your education.

Coming on staff with Young Life International.

 

How are you different than the person you were when you first started here?

I am more confident in who I am because of my foundation in Christ and because I know myself better than I did when I graduated high school.

 

 

What is your favorite thing about the students, faculty, and staff at Northwest Christian?

I love that they are willing to take the time to sit and have tea with you and if they can take your class to a coffee shop or out to breakfast, they will.

 

What were you involved in beyond classes?

Student Leadership. That was one of the best parts of attending NCC.

 

Where do you see yourself in five years?

In the Dominican Republic serving the people there.

 

Are you where you thought you would be five years ago?

Yes.

 

If a friend or relative was considering Northwest Christian, and you had to describe the place in a text message with only a few words, what would you honestly say?

Small, loving, community, place to grow.
