How you arrived at Northwest Christian:
While a member of Northwood Christian Church I heard a great deal about NCC. My best friend, his wife, my own wife, and various extended family members have attended over the last 50 years. I attended NCC from January of 2005 to March of 2007, obtaining my Bachelors of Accountancy with a Minor in Business Administration. September of 2007 I was hired on as a Financial Aid administrator for the nighttime programs.
The most surprising thing about being here at Northwest Christian:
Although I knew prayer and faith would be an integral part of working at NCC, I still find myself amazed when meetings open in prayer and the tremendous amount of positive reinforcement given by faculty, staff, and the student body each day.
Your favorite thing about the students, faculty, and staff at Northwest Christian:
The generosity, kindness, and openness students, faculty, and staff have in all things.
Favorite class to teach:
I currently don’t teach any classes, but hope to one day.

Currently none.
Advice for incoming students:
I would encourage all students to become involved to some degree. It benefits them on numerous levels: it looks good on resumes, builds stronger relationships within the campus community and hones their ability to foster new relationships after graduation, improves team-building skills, and creates a greater sense of inclusion while attending NCC, which affects all aspects of a student’s educational experience from study habits to recreational excursions.
I like my job because of…
…my coworkers, the feelings of accomplishment I get from helping students be financially able to attend and succeed, the interactions between faculty, staff, and students, and being able to evangelize and do God’s work by being a positive force within a religious institution.
Greatest accomplishment so far:
Through financial counseling helping different student’s situations change from ‘financially impossible to attend’ to ‘financially possible to attend and succeed academically’.
